What are the benefits of personal and buddy (small group) training?

By joining us at The Well Studio, you have taken an important step in your health and fitness journey! You have found classes, community and a way to help you commit to daily movement. So how does personal or Buddy training benefit you?

When we are teaching classes, it is our job to give clear instructions and a variety of options for each exercise, especially if you have a chronic ache/pain, or are having trouble finding the right form. Unfortunately, we can’t customize each exercise to your body and your goals. Personal training really is personal! Each session is 100% based on your unique needs and goals.

Additionally, personal training allows us to utilize progressive overload and create a solid training plan for you. Progressive overload simply means helping you get stronger over time at specific exercises and muscle groups. This not only helps you with your individual goals, but it is a great way to reduce injury risk. Because our trainers are highly educated, we can also work in more detail around pain you may feel on a regular basis and help you get to the root cause.

Buddy training is a really fun way to still get more individual attention, but with a friend or two! Think of the joy you feel after a workout in the large group classes; now imagine how much more amplified that is when it is just you and a friend, getting special attention! It is our mission as trainers to help you feel better each week, not just in your exercises, but in daily movements like walking up the stairs or picking up your kids.

As an additional bonus, we have a Workout Builder online platform that is available to our training clients! After each session, we can send you all the exercises you did, complete with a video, written explanation and what weight, reps and sets you used. This is perfect if you want to really focus on your form and feel more confident! You can access it anytime and practice the exercises on your own!
