Yoga is Life!
How do we practice life on our mats and yoga off our mats?
Stacy McGinty has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 20 years. Practicing life on and off the mat is all about embodying the principles and mindfulness cultivated during yoga practice into everyday experiences.
On the mat, Stacy encourages her students to listen to their inner voice, connecting with the breath, and moving in a way that feels good to the body. This practice of tuning into oneself, honoring one’s body, and finding balance can be extended beyond the mat. Off the mat, it’s about staying present, listening to our intuition, and treating ourselves and others with kindness and compassion.
In vinyasa flow, restorative yoga, and meditation, Stacy’s emphasis on finding moments of clarity and stillness within the pose teaches students to cultivate inner peace and resilience. This can be translated into daily life by finding moments of stillness amidst the chaos, whether it’s through meditation, mindful breathing, or simply taking a pause to appreciate the present moment.
Stacy’s influences, including Jason Crandell, Janet Stone, Tara Brach, and Jack Kornfield, likely inspire her teachings on integrating mindfulness and compassion into yoga practice and life. By drawing from the wisdom of these teachers, Stacy helps her students deepen their understanding of themselves and their connection to the world around them.
Ultimately, Stacy’s intention to hold space for her students to connect with at least one full breath reflects the essence of yoga: the union of mind, body, and spirit. Whether on the mat or off, practicing yoga with Stacy offers an opportunity to cultivate presence, authenticity, and inner peace in every breath and every moment.

Stacy McGinty’s extensive training highlights her dedication to holistic well-being and personal growth. By combining her expertise in yoga, mindfulness, and coaching, Stacy creates a nurturing and empowering environment for her students to explore their practice and cultivate holistic well-being.
My greatest intention when I teach is to hold space for the student to drop in and connect with at least one full breath. It is within that breath that we can find our truth.

Why Go On Retreat?

The magic of a retreat lies in its structure. You’re immersed in a rhythm that isn’t your own but is perfect for your growth. Your retreat host curates the experience, allowing you to trust the process without needing to control it.
As you flow through the days, shedding layers of stress and expectation, you awaken to the essence of who you are. There’s no striving—it’s a natural unfolding. You stand face-to-face with yourself, awake, present, and ready to embrace all that you find.
It’s an invitation to meet yourself in a way you can’t at home. It’s a chance to heal, replenish your soul, and reconnect with life’s beauty. And yes, it’s fun! You’ll laugh, connect with others, and experience moments of pure joy. When I left that retreat, I felt reborn. Not entirely new, but reintroduced to a deeper, truer part of myself. Continue Reading
